PostHog
Product analytics + replay suite
Free tier + paidProduct analyticsposthog.com
What it is
An all-in-one suite bundling product analytics, session replay, feature flags, A/B tests, surveys and error tracking behind one SDK. Each product carries its own monthly free allowance rather than sharing one pool. The MIT-licensed code can be self-hosted, but PostHog officially does not support self-hosted deployments.
Why it earns a slot
One
npm install gives a solo builder analytics, flags, replay and error tracking at once, and the free allowances are large enough that most side projects never pay anything.Know before you commit
Identified events cost up to 4x more than anonymous ones. Set
person_profiles: 'identified_only' or a 5M-event month jumps from roughly $153 to $610. Self-hosted instances get free-tier features only and zero support.Getting started

Neighbourhood
How PostHog sits against the rest of the atlas — swaps, companions and the tools builders actually save alongside it.
