What it is

Google retired Gemini CLI on 18 June 2026 and replaced it with Antigravity CLI, whose binary is agy. It keeps the terminal-first workflow and adds background subagents. One Google plan covers eight models from three labs: Gemini 3.5 Flash and 3.1 Pro, Claude Sonnet and Opus 4.6, and GPT-OSS 120B.

Why it earns a slot

The most generous free terminal agent, and the only one that bills Anthropic, OpenAI and Google tokens to a single subscription with no second API key. Gemini's long context still wins on whole-repo questions.

Know before you commit
