Find and search projects

about 3 minBuildingchecked 4h agoOfficial page
The short version

You can quickly find any project in Lovable using a quick search tool or by filtering and sorting your project lists. This helps you get to the right project fast without sifting through everything.

Anyone who has multiple projects in Lovable and needs to find a specific one efficiently.

Do this, in order

  1. 1

Press 'Cmd+K' (Mac) or 'Ctrl+K' (Windows/Linux) to open the Command Palette, or click 'Search' in the sidebar.

This is the fastest way to search across all your projects and folders.

  2. 2

Start typing the name of the project or folder you're looking for.

The Command Palette will show you matching results, grouped by projects and folders.

  3. 3

Alternatively, go to your dashboard and look for the 'Search' entry in the project tabs bar, or navigate to the 'Projects' page.

These options give you more detailed filtering and sorting controls if a simple search isn't enough.

  4. 4

On the 'Projects' page, use the 'Search' field to filter by name, or click 'Filter' to narrow down projects by criteria like owner, folder, visibility, or publish status.

This allows you to find projects based on specific characteristics, not just their name.

  5. 5

Click 'View' on the 'Projects' page to change how projects are displayed (grid or list) and how they are sorted (e.g., by last edited, name, or visits).

This helps you organize your project view to quickly spot what you need.

Paste this into your project

Where people get stuck

  • Don't try to open a project by pasting a published app URL (like 'yourapp.lovable.app') into the Command Palette, as it won't work.
  • Remember that the Command Palette is not available on mobile devices; use the sidebar and navigation menus instead.
  • Pasting a project ID or editor URL into the Command Palette doesn't automatically open the project; you still need to press Enter or click the result.
