Connect your app to Wix

   Sign in to your Wix account.

   You need to access your Wix account to get the necessary credentials.

   Go to the Wix API Keys Manager.

   This is where you can create and find your API keys and account ID.

   Create a new API key or copy an existing one, giving it a clear name like 'Lovable integration' and granting it the permissions your app needs.

   The API key acts like a password, allowing your Lovable app to securely access your Wix data. Permissions ensure it only accesses what's necessary.

   Copy your Wix account ID from the API Keys Manager.

   This ID identifies your specific Wix account when connecting to Lovable.

   Open 'Connectors' in Lovable and select 'Wix'.

   This is the starting point in Lovable to set up a new connection.

   Click 'Add connection'.

   This initiates the process of creating a new Wix connection.

   Give your connection a 'Display name' (e.g., 'Wix Prod'), paste your Wix account ID into the 'Account ID' field, and paste your Wix API key into the 'API key' field.

   These details tell Lovable how to identify and securely connect to your specific Wix account.

   Choose who can use this connection by setting the 'Sharing' option. It's private by default, but you can share it with specific people or your entire workspace.

   This controls who in your Lovable workspace can use this Wix connection in their projects.

   Click 'Connect'.

   Lovable will test the connection using your provided details and then save it.

Use Wix and build a dashboard that lists all sites in my Wix account and shows key status details.

API key

A secret code that acts like a password, allowing your Lovable app to securely access information from another service, like Wix, without needing your main login details.

Account ID

A unique number or code that identifies your specific account on a service like Wix.

Connector

A built-in tool in Lovable that lets your app talk to other online services, like Wix, using a shared connection.

CRM

Customer Relationship Management. It's a system for managing all your company's relationships and interactions with customers and potential customers.

CMS

Content Management System. It's a system that helps you create, manage, and modify content on a website without needing specialized technical knowledge.

• Never share your Wix API key publicly, as it functions like a password.
• Ensure your Wix API key has the correct permissions for what your Lovable app needs to do.
• Remember that Wix API usage, quotas, and billing are handled by Wix, not Lovable.
• Understand that the Wix connector cannot automatically choose a site if your account has multiple; your app will need to ask the user to select one.
• Be aware that each Lovable connection to Wix represents one Wix account and API key, not individual end-user logins.
