Connect your app to Apify

   Sign in to your Apify account.

   You need to access your Apify settings to get an API token.

   Go to 'Settings' then 'API & Integrations' in your Apify account.

   This is where you manage and create API tokens for your account.

   Create a new API token and give it a clear name, like 'Lovable integration'.

   A new token ensures secure access for Lovable, and a descriptive name helps you remember its purpose.

   Copy the newly created API token.

   You will need this token to connect Apify to Lovable.

   Open the 'Connectors' section in your Lovable dashboard and select 'Apify'.

   This is the starting point for adding a new Apify connection in Lovable.

   Click 'Add connection'.

   This initiates the process of setting up a new Apify connection.

   Give your connection a 'Display name' (e.g., 'Apify Prod') and paste your Apify API token into the 'API token' field.

   The display name helps you identify this specific connection in Lovable, and the API token authenticates Lovable with Apify.

   Decide who can use this connection by adjusting the 'Sharing' settings.

   You can keep it private or share it with specific workspace members or your entire workspace.

   Click 'Connect'.

   Lovable will verify your API token and save the connection, making Apify available for your projects.

Apify

Actors

Automated programs or scripts that run on Apify to perform specific tasks, like scraping a website or automating a workflow.

Datasets

Structured collections of data that are saved after an Actor finishes its task, like a table of scraped product prices or contact information.

API token

A secret code that acts like a password, allowing Lovable to securely communicate with your Apify account and use its features.

Rate-limiting

A control mechanism that limits how many requests you can send to a service (like Apify) within a certain time frame to prevent overload.

• Treat your Apify API token like a password; never share it publicly.
• Be aware that all Actor runs and API usage through Lovable count towards your Apify plan and billing.
• If your API token is revoked or rotated in Apify, you must update the Lovable connection with a new token for your apps to continue working.
