Project monitoring

The short version

Lovable can automatically check your app for problems on a schedule, like broken features or errors visitors encounter. It tells you about these issues so you can decide if Lovable should help fix them.

Anyone with a published app, collaborators, or projects they want to keep healthy between editing sessions needs this to catch problems early.

Do this, in order

  1. 1

Open your project in Lovable and go to its settings.

This is where you'll find the option to manage project monitoring.

  2. 2

In 'Project settings', find the 'General' section, then 'Project monitoring', and turn on the switch.

This activates the monitoring feature for your project, with checks starting at the next scheduled time.

  3. 3

If you want to change when checks happen, select 'Configure', then adjust the schedule (daily or weekly) and time.

This lets you customize how often Lovable checks your project to match your needs.

  4. 4

Next to 'Runs', choose if checks should happen 'Every time' or 'If edited since last check', and set the minimum number of edits if applicable.

This helps you control when checks run, saving credits if your project hasn't changed.

  5. 5

Select 'Save' to apply all your changes.

This confirms your monitoring settings and makes them active.

Paste this into your project

Please turn on project monitoring for this project. I'd like it to run daily at 6:00 AM in my timezone, but only if the project has been edited since the last check. Set the minimum edits made to 1.

Words decoded

cron jobs
Automated tasks that run at specific times or intervals, like sending out daily reports or cleaning up old data.
UI
User Interface, which is everything you see and interact with on a screen, like buttons, menus, and text.
credits
A form of payment or usage allowance within Lovable for certain features, like running monitoring checks.

Where people get stuck

  • Project monitoring does not fix issues automatically; it only finds and explains them.
  • Monitoring is configured for each project individually, not for your entire workspace at once.
  • Lovable might miss some issues, especially if there are many problems in one scan.
  • Changes you make before fixing, ignoring, or discussing a finding with Lovable might make the finding outdated.
  • Lovable can sometimes incorrectly flag working parts of your app as broken; you should ignore these 'false positives'.
