Jobs
Jobs are tasks your app runs automatically in the background, like sending daily emails or cleaning up data. This page shows you how to see what jobs are running, check their history, and turn them on or off.
Anyone who wants their Lovable app to perform regular, automated tasks without constant manual input.
Do this, in order
- 1
Go to 'More' in your Lovable project, then select 'Cloud', and finally 'Jobs'.
This is where you can see a list of all the automated tasks your app is set to perform.
- 2
Click on any job in the list to see its details, like when it's scheduled to run and its past performance.
This helps you understand what each job does and if it's working correctly.
- 3
Use the 'Enable' or 'Disable' buttons next to a job to control whether it runs or not.
You can temporarily stop a job from running without deleting it, or restart one that was previously paused.
- 4
If you want to create a new job, change its schedule, or delete an existing one, type your request directly into your project's chat with Lovable.
The 'Jobs' view is only for reviewing and controlling existing jobs; making changes to them requires a direct request to Lovable.

Schedule a daily job at 7 AM that emails me a summary of today's follow-ups.
Words decoded
- Background tasks
- Actions your app does automatically without you needing to be actively using it, like sending out reports overnight.
- Backend (Cloud)
- The part of your app that handles all the behind-the-scenes work, like storing data and running automated tasks, which is hosted on Lovable's servers (the 'Cloud').
- UTC
- A standard time zone used worldwide, often for computer systems, that doesn't change with daylight saving time.
- Credit usage
- The amount of resources your app consumes, which is tracked and might have a cost associated with it, similar to how much electricity an appliance uses.
Where people get stuck
- Don't try to create, change, or delete jobs from the 'Jobs' view; this must be done by asking Lovable in the project chat.
- Remember that jobs, especially frequent or long-running ones, consume 'credits' and can increase your project's resource usage.
- Be aware that scheduled jobs keep your project active, preventing it from automatically pausing due to inactivity, even if you're not using it otherwise.
