Project analytics

about 5 minBuildingchecked 26h agoOfficial page
The short version

You can see how people are using your published Lovable app, including how many visits it gets, which pages they look at, and where they come from. This helps you understand if your app is reaching people and how they interact with it.

Anyone who has published a Lovable app and wants to understand its audience and performance.

Do this, in order

  1. 1

    Publish your Lovable project.

Analytics only collects data for published projects, and it starts automatically once your project is live.

  2. 2

Open your project in the Lovable editor.

You need to be in your project to access its analytics.

  3. 3

Click on 'More' in the top toolbar, then select 'Analytics'.

This opens the analytics dashboard for your project.

  4. 4

Choose a time period from the dropdown menu at the top of the Analytics view.

This lets you see data for 'Today', 'Last 7 days', 'This month', or other specific periods.

  5. 5

Click on different metrics above the main chart, like 'Visits' or 'Bounce rate'.

This changes what the chart shows, helping you understand different aspects of your app's performance over time.

  6. 6

Look at the lists below the main chart for 'Source', 'Page', 'Device', and 'Country'.

These breakdowns show you where your visitors come from, which pages are most popular, what devices they use, and their general location.

Paste this into your project

Show me the analytics for my project. I want to see how many visits it got in the last 30 days, where those visits came from, and which pages were most popular.

Words decoded

Bounce rate
The percentage of people who visit your app but leave after only looking at one page.
Metrics
Specific measurements or numbers that show how well something is performing, like how many visits your app gets or how long people stay.
Breakdowns
Ways to sort and categorize your data into smaller groups, like showing where visitors came from or what devices they used.
UTM parameters
Special tags added to website links (like '?utm_source=newsletter') that help track where traffic comes from for marketing campaigns. Lovable's built-in analytics doesn't read these tags directly.

Where people get stuck

  • Don't expect Lovable's analytics to track individual people; it focuses on overall traffic trends, not personal profiles.
  • Remember that your own visits to your published app will also be counted in the analytics data.
  • Don't confuse Project analytics (for one app) with 'Insights' (for your whole workspace) or 'Security insights' (for security issues). They are different features.
  • Don't rely on Lovable's built-in analytics to track specific marketing campaign performance using UTM parameters; you'll need to connect a dedicated analytics tool for that.

The short version, steps, decoder and prompt on this page are written automatically from Lovable's own documentation and can lag or misread it. The official page is always the authority.
