Security insights

about 5 minBuildingchecked 2h agoOfficial page
The short version

Security insights helps you quickly find projects in your Lovable workspace that might need security or ownership attention. It combines various signals like security findings, ownership, and activity to give each project a review priority.

Workspace owners and admins need this to keep track of all projects and make sure they are secure and properly managed.

Do this, in order

  1. 1

Go to your Lovable workspace settings.

This is where you access administrative tools for your entire workspace.

  2. 2

Navigate to the 'Security' section, then 'Security center', and finally click on 'Security insights'.

This is the specific location where you can view the security insights dashboard.

  3. 3

Review the summary cards to see your total projects, how many are public, and how many have a high review priority.

This gives you a quick overview of your workspace's security posture.

  4. 4

Use the 'Quick filters' like 'Abandoned' or 'Security scan findings' to jump to projects that need immediate attention.

These filters help you focus on common high-risk areas without manually sifting through all projects.

  5. 5

Search for specific projects by name, owner, or description, or filter the table by review priority or publishing status.

This allows you to find particular projects or narrow down the list based on specific criteria.

  6. 6

Click on any project row to expand it and see why it was flagged, then click 'View' on a finding to go to the relevant project page.

This helps you understand the specific issues and take action directly on the project.

  7. 7

If needed, click the project name to go to its full details page for more context, or run a fresh security scan from the expanded row.

The project details page provides comprehensive information, and running a scan ensures you have the most up-to-date security status.

  8. 8

To share or analyze the data externally, use the export control in the 'Security center' header to download the project table as a CSV file.

This is useful for audits, reporting, or sharing security information with leadership.

Paste this into your project

Hey Lovable, show me the Security insights for my workspace so I can review projects that need attention. I want to see which projects are public, have security findings, or are abandoned. Can you help me navigate there and understand what to look for?

Words decoded

Workspace
Your main area in Lovable where all your projects live and are managed.
PII
Personally Identifiable Information, which is any data that could be used to identify a specific person, like names, addresses, or email.
Review priority
A rating (High, Medium, Low) that tells you how urgently a project needs your attention based on its security risks and other signals.
Signals
Different pieces of information about a project, like whether it's public, who owns it, or how active it is, that help determine its review priority.
Findings
Specific security issues or data concerns identified in a project, like open security vulnerabilities or the presence of personal data.
CSV file
A simple text file where data is organized into columns and rows, often used for spreadsheets or databases.

Where people get stuck

  • Security insights is only available on Business and Enterprise plans, so you won't see it on other plans.
  • Only workspace admins and owners can access Security insights, so if you don't have these roles, you won't be able to view it.
  • Some data, like activity metrics, can be up to 24 hours old, so don't expect real-time updates for every piece of information.
  • Review priority updates asynchronously, meaning it might take some time for changes to scans or project settings to be reflected.
  • Exported CSV files are capped at 100,000 rows; if your results exceed this, you'll need to narrow your filters to export all data.
